Reach the slopes by helicopter from La Gran Becca
If you ski using the helicopter for goind up instead of the sli-lift, it’s certainly an unforgettable experience, expecially if it’s lived in an unpolluted environment, surrounded by the most beautiful summits of the Alps. Near our apartments the landing of the helicopter is possible and it will bring you directly on the top of the higher slopes of the area.
Cervinia, with large spaces and with unevennesses between the 1500 meters of Valtournenche and the 4500 meters of the Monte Rosa, represents certainly one of the best destinations for the heliski practice. After a snow fall, when the whole valley seems still asleep, there is nothing better than a fantastic descent on a slope of fresh and farinose snow.
A few minutes of flight are enough to reach places of incomparable beauty, where nature reigns sovereign; from there the descent begins and you begin to dream….the light ski sink softly on the dusty snow and as a pain-brush on a painting, draw magnificent curves, and at the same time the wind fondles your face in the enchanted silence of the wild and deserted mountain….the excitement is indescribable.
The practice of heliski is made in total safety and with the maximum professionality; it may only be made with the presence of alpine guides, that beyond to be very skilful and expert skiers and alpinists, they know perfectly their mountains and, according the snow conditions, they will be able to propose everyday the proper itinerary; the pilots, that have a great experience to fly high, make you fly among spectacular mountains and glaciers.
To try the inebriation of a descent on a fresh snow slopes you must have a good control of the ski and to be in good physical conditions; all the itineraries may be run by skiers, snowboarders and “telemarkisti”.
