Summer and Winter Skiing

The nearest ski complexes are Chamois (5 minutes by car), Torgnon (10 minutes by car), Valtournenche (10 minutes by car) and Cervinia (15 minutes by car).

At the sports shop DueElle Sport, just opposite the ENI filling station, you can rent skis and boots and buy daily ski-passes for the Cervinia ski lift systems.

For summer skiing, in little more than half an hour, you can reach the Plateau Rosa (at 3500m or 11482ft a.s.l.) by cableway from Cervinia, where you will find 3 lift systems. For the high altitude of the glacier, the snow remains hard-packed throughout the season, with slopes of all levels. Of course, temperatures are milder than in winter, with a moderate sun that will leave you with a golden tan at the end of your holiday. You will also have the opportunity to meet the great champions of alpine skiing and snowboarding, who train here in view of international competitions… These are all excellent reasons to spend a ski holiday even in summer, at the foot of the Matterhorn.
